"The ancient, ageless defender, the stalwart Gargoyle stands as a guardian and a contradiction. A magically animated construct of stone, the Gargoyle is imbued with life by incantations so extensive and intricate that most sorcerers can invoke the spell but once in their lifetime.
While magic may be its source of life, however, the Gargoyle is uniquely designed to resist and destroy that which gives it life. The Obsidian Guardian possesses the ability to see into the folded realities through which the invisible tread, as well as an innate invulnerability to attacks of arcane origin. Fearsome in combat, especially against the slower, fragile physical forms of most spellcasters, the Gargoyle also possesses the ability to regenerate whatever damage is inflicted to it at an accelerated rate of speed."
