Adaptation (class change):

Usage: adaptation (lists available classes to adapt to)
Usage: adaptation <class name>

This command allows you to permanently change class. You can change into
any class that is on your remort tier. However, class changes across your
current class lineage (e.g., warlock subclass to warlock subclass) are much
less expensive than class changes to non-lineage classes (e.g., warlock
subclass to monk subclass).

Changing classes across lineage trees (called crossovers) are much more
challenging for the performer and therefore cost a great deal more. In
addition, these changes allow the player a massive amount of flexibility and
with that flexibility comes a higher cost.

Different classes have access to different skills and spells. If the class you
adapt into does not have a skill or spell your previous class had, you will
lose that skill or spell permanently! If you switch back to the class you
previously were before you adapted to another class, you will have to rebuild
that skill/spell back up in percentage. Due to this, the adapting decision is
not an easy one to make.

When changing to another class you receive 100% of the practices you used to
train abilities over 100% that do not exist in the new subclass. For example,
if you changed from Jakaen to Assassin, you would receive 100% of any practices
you invested in any of Jakaen's immunity abilities above 100% proficiency.
However, if you trained dodge to 300%, you would keep dodge at 300%, because
Assassins also has that ability.

Abilities with a proficiency below 100% are not reimbursed (as anything below
100% increases automatically).

A normal trainer (Sylvia) must be present in order to fulfill this request. In
addition, your answer MUST be set to ADAPTATION in order for the command to
succeed. (You may also use FREE ADAPTATION as an answer if you have a one-time
free adaptation which has not expired; see 'help one time no practice loss
adaptation'.)
