"Known alternately to the various Nodekian races as the Highborn, the Slender Ones, and Too Stringy But Nice Flavor, the Elves draw their basic strengths from their ties to the natural world. Whereas nature can seem both a mercurial, whimsical force within a day's time and a patient, unconquerable power over the ages, the elves embody swiftness, agility, wisdom, and temperance in equal measures.
The more youthful elves possess a variety of talents that serve them well in any profession; as the Elf progresses, it can choose to follow either the path of the Green or the path of the Grey. The green path of the Sentinel is walked by those who wish to ascend to the rank of the Elven Guard, developing their physical prowess in defense of their natural homelands; the grey path of the Visionary leads to the life of the Priestess or the Hierophant, tapping into nature's power to mend the broken land and to heal the sick."
