Pixie

"Small and mercurial, the Pixie is a surprising being in a number of different respects - in the resourcefulness that they display in combat, in the array of abilities which unfold throughout the life of a Sprite, and in the volume of voice that can constantly chatter forth from such a small windbox.

While their small size does serve as a disadvantage, making them somewhat frail and prone to being squished, squashed, smashed, or just plain eaten, the skillful Sprite eventually learns to use their size to their advantage, weaving through and around attacks that would strike any slower being and crafting very small veils of magic which invisibly mask their presence. A Pixie who undertakes a profession that is skilled with Dodge can be a formidable deterrence indeed; their immense speed allows them to strike many times in a single round, albeit the hasted blows are somewhat weakened.

Invisibility is not the only magic accessible to the Pixie, however; the secrets of Faerie Fire allow them to outline their targets in a faint, colorful glow, allowing the Pixie's strikes to land with more accuracy. Finally, the faeriekin's physical speed translates to some degree into the world of sorcery, allowing them to occasionally bend time to perform actions much more quickly than normal."
